My Frog "A Town Story"

The Windham area residents are very proud of their frogs and during summer of 2005 the town celebrated with a frog fest. About 20 painted frogs on spools were on display throughout the town. The frog that I was lucky enough to paint was motivated by the legend as told by David Philips in his book "Legendary Connecticut"

On July 4th "A TOWN'S STORY" frog met the public for the first time along with 4 other frogs. They were a part of Willimantic's Boom Box Parade. On July 19 "A TOWN'S STORY" and 5 other frogs were placed on display through out the town. On the morning of the 21st " A TOWN'S STORY" was found knocked down, the victim of needless vandalism. There is always someone who feels the need to place their kiss of ugliness on anything bright and good. 5 weeks and 197 hours went into painting " ATOWN'S STORY" frog and on July 30th 5 more hours went into attempting repairs to the damaged areas.
